There will be information about music he enjoys listening to, performing, and teaching. There may also be attempted humor. Just ignore that.

Greetings Everyone!

We are currently seeking a few volunteers to help out with events in the Rochester, NY area from 3/3 to 3/7, 2012. The events range from workshops to concerts at schools and private homes, and duties will encompass setup/tear-down, greeting, and documentation of these events. Please be in touch at ifcmusicorg@gmail.com for more detailed information, and to talk about your availability. Thanks in advance for all your hard work!

Tastic. See them at the Nazareth Performing Art Center this week, $15 for students!

Other recommendations for music this week come from my iPod world and the wormholes of youtube and vimeo:

David Bowie: Station to Station (Deluxe Edition)

- I’ll have to say that my new, before-undiscovered fave from the studio and live tracks is TVC 15.

Punch Brothers: Antifogmatic (Deluxe Version)… I like to keep it deluxe.

- The live videos show how great the interplay and focus of this supergroup is. I like the covers, but 99 Years/Train 45 is unstoppable. Also, look for a Quintopus version of “You Are” in the future…

Jeff Buckly: Live at Sin-é

- Lover, You Should’ve Come Over. And the rest of the album. The ‘Doors reverb convo with Sony’…

Frank Zappa: Buffalo

- The whole band is nasty and experimental on this live show. Ray White makes some great false starts on what becomes the “Easy Meat” vocal cadenza. Vinnie C plays some mean everything.

Busdriver: Imaginary Places video. Bwa.
