Nasheet!  Saw this from a thread on cymbalholic.com (if you have to ask, you should probably already know about the place…) I think that the first recording I heard of Nasheet was one of Fred Hersch’s Vanguard recordings; the Trio+2, I think.  Really felt attuned to what he was doing, and transcribing some of that stuff helped understand how grounded and “un-rubatto” his single and double-stroke filling is.  Gah!  He’s a force.  Avishai and Omar sound amazing as well!
